John Summit Responds to His Set Being Shut Down After Interruption By Travis Scott: ‘Last Night Was Out of Control’

John Summit has spoken out after an incident during the producer's June 7 set at Lilly's Club Monte Carlo in Monaco, France. Happening amid the Monaco F1, the night was announced as a shared billing from the producer and Travis Scott.

But the show didn't happen as planned, with footage of the night making its way around the internet showing Scott interrupting Summit's set after the rapper arrived late to the performance. Video shows Scott climbing over the DJ decks during Summit's set and performing for the crowd.

"Monaco that was insane last night," Summit wrote in an Instagram story posted Monday (June 8). "Last night was out of control. My show got shut down due to another artist showing up late and forcing his way onto the stage. Love you all that were there to dance and have a good time."

The producer also shared a video of himself playing his hit "Go Back" during the set, with the caption "I wanna go back (onstage to finish my performance)." He also shared another clip of the incident with a caption thanking his production director John Fink for "holding it down during the chaos." The video shows a crowded stage with people pushing toward the front where Summit is standing, with Fink heard saying "don't f–king touch him like that" to another man in the crowd.

Scott's team did not immediately respond to Billboard's request for comment.

Summit is busy playing across Europe this summer, with his Monday night residency at Ibiza's [UNVRS] happening through late July and the producer also on the lineup for festivals including Tomorrowland. He'll return Stateside in late July for a headlining set at Lollapalooza, with a North American arena tour to follow in the fall.
